Promotion Policy (Students)

|
Following promotion policy for the students has been adopted with effect from January 2007 please:
|

|
|
 |
|
From Class Nursery to Class III - Assessment System. Teachers to give grades for class work, home work and tests and keep a record of all the grades on which the students are promoted to the next class as already being done.
|
|
|
|
|
|
From Class IV to V - Examination System
|
|
|
-
50% passing marks in all subjects (as heretofore).
-
If a student fails in one or two subjects he/she will be retested after the spring holidays. If the student fails in any of the subjects, he/she will be detained in the same class.
-
A student failing in 3 or more subject will be detained in the same class. However, the Principal may allow retest depending upon the ill health/strong compassionate grounds etc of the child.

For Classes VI & VII
|
|
|
|
-
Pass percentage in each subject will be 45%.
-
A student failing in one subject will be retested one week after the spring holidays. If the student again fails to score 45% marks, he/she will be detained in the same class.
-
A student failing in any two subjects or more will be detained in the same class. However, the students failing in two subjects only may be retested, on case to case basis, with the discretion of the Principal, based on ill health of a student/on strong compassionate grounds.
-
A student failing twice in the same class or in different classes will stand withdrawn from the College.

For Classes VIII, IX and XI
|
|
|
|
-
Pass percentage will be 45%.

Minor Subjects. Islamiat, Pakistan Studies: Major Subject: All other subject.

A student failing in one major subject and one minor subject or two minor subjects will be re-examined after the spring holidays. If a student fails in any of the subjects, he/she will be detained in the same class otherwise promoted to the next class.

A student failing in two major subject or one major and two minor subjects or more will be detained in the same class. The Principal may allow retesting on case to case basis - on strong compassionate grounds, health hazards etc.
-
A student failing twice in the same class or in different classes will stand withdrawn from the College.
