Scholarships and Fee Exemption Policy
a. Scholarships:
The Worthy Commissioner/ Chairman BOT / BOG Mr. Shamail Ahamad Khawaja has always been very kind and takes keen interest in the promotion of quality education to the kids from all walks of life. In this regard he directed the grant of a scholarship scheme for the hardworking students to enable them reap the fruit of their hard work on one hand and on the other get monitoring benefits to decrease the burden of their parents. The policy has been implemented.
b. Fee Exemption Policy:
During the 46th meeting of the BOG held on 30th January, 2014, it was decided that in case of father’s death whose children are studying in this college will be given full fee concession. This benefit will also be extended to the permanently disabled individuals and to those who have less income than 30,000 rupees per month (condition apply). 37 children have already been benefited from this scheme. It is worth mentioning here that this exemption policy had been part of the Trust Deed 1987. This policy has been fully implemented now.
c. The same matter was discussed and re-emphasized in the 50th meeting of the BOG held on 14th May, 2015. It was decided that the Worthy Commissioner / Chairman BOT/ BOG shall allow or decline such exemptions on the recommendations of the Principal along with the other factors in a transparent manner across the board without any exception and discrimination.
d.Earlier, it has been a discretionary power of the administration to allow or decline in the cases of selected individuals without any prescribed criteria or SOPs. The chairman himself took a notice of it and desired for devising a policy framework for the grant of scholarships / Fee exemptions as per pre-defined criteria duly notified to all and do away with his own discretionary powers.
