Function in honour of children of “Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Gujranwala”
On Saturday 5th of Dec, 2015, a grand function was organized in the Sheikh Muhammad Younsas Auditorium to facilitate the children of “Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Gujranwala”. A contingent of Child Protection Bureau along with the officials participated in this awe inspiring display of skills of children of QDPS and enjoyed this function. The principal QDPS Mr. Sajid Jamal Khan welcomed the guests. In his welcome speech he thanked the guests and especially the Worthy Commissioner Gujranwala Division / Chairman BOT/BOG Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja for his philanthropic efforts to bring these children at par with other children.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Worthy Commissioner Gujranwala Division / Chairman BOT/BOG Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja landed the efforts of the children and the teaching staff for presenting and putting a fabulous show. He announced a hefty amount of one lac rupees for the children and ten thousand each for the teachers who prepared them. In his presidential address the chairman briefly discussed with the audience the idea of satellite campuses at tehsil levels and the work being done on these projects. He also told the audience about the ongoing construction work outside the college gate to facilitate the parents waiting to collect their wards. The project will be completed with a staggering amount of 87 lac. He also reiterated his stance of providing quality education to the underprivileged at their door steps. In this regard he emotionally emphasized the importance of education and generously asked the teachers to come up with practical suggestions to improve the situation even further.
At the end children of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau were presented with gifts by the Worthy Commissioner Gujranwala Division / Chairman BOT/BOG Mr. Shamail Ahmad Khawaja. Children from different schools of QDPS also presented the children with the gifts as a token of love and appreciation.
