Summer Vacation Homework
Class II
Dear Parents,
Summer break is a great time to refresh and enjoy quality time with parents. At the same time we want our students not to lose track of their studies so we have designed comprehensive summer break homework for them. You are advised to note the following:
- The summer work will be graded.
- The students are advised to do their work tidily.
- Untidy, incomplete and homework done by an elder will not be accepted.
- The last date for the submission of Summer Break Homework is 5th August, 2019. Late submissions will not be accepted and graded.
- The students are advised to have fun in their summer break while also set aside specific study hours daily.
ENGLISH:
- Read Unit # 1,2,3,4 & 5
- Attempt workbook pg # 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 on notebook.
- Learn and write all work done in the notebook.
- Use the following words to make interesting sentences:
spring, lawn, allow, toys, stylish, huge, pair, parties, lovely, hurt
- Write the story of your life. Tell about your family, your early days, school, hobbies, habits (good and bad) your likes and dislikes special people in your life.
- Have you ever lost something? How did you try to look for it? You can draw the picture of your lost thing on a poster and write a few sentences to tell what it looks like .You can mention your name and contact number on the poster.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
- Do lesson # 1 on a soft chart.
- With the help of your parents, find out about your own family. On a large sheet of paper draw your family tree. Try to draw pictures or stick photographs of your relatives on the paper.
- Try to find out what these words mean: sad, angry, happy, confident, thirsty, proud, jealous, greedy, sorry and use them in your sentences.
- Draw a funny picture that will make someone laugh.
- SCIENCE:
- Draw a table on a chart. Write names of different animals in the correct column. Herbivores, Carnivores, Omnivores
- Draw the life cycles of fish, frog and butterfly.
- Find out and write the names of four plants/vegetables that are cooked and eaten in your home.
- MATHEMATICS:
- Make a chart of patterns by using different numbers and shapes (ref Pg # 2 & 4 from book)
- Draw/make clocks on chart paper which shows time

- Draw an abacus on white paper and show the following numbers on the abacus (ref Pg # 11 Ex # 14 & 15 from book)

- Draw a house on a hard chart by using 2D shapes.
- COMPUTER:
- Draw/paste pictures of electronic machines on a hard chat.
- Define hardware and make a list of hardware devices.
- Write uses of computer in banks and schools.

اسلامیات:
باب دوم: ایمانیات و عبادات صفحہ نمبر 4 تا 12 کی پڑھائی کریں۔
باب سوم: سیرت طیبہ صفحہ نمبر 13 تا 19 پڑھائی کریں۔
صفحہ نمبر 7 اور صفحہ نمبر 15 کے سوالات اور جوابات کاپی پر لکھیں۔
سرگرمی:
اسلام کے ارکان کا ماڈل چا رٹ کی مدد سے بنائیں ان کے نام اور ہر ایک کے بارے میں تین تین جملے لکھیں۔
خانہ کعبہ کا ماڈل بنائیں۔
پانچ نمازوں کے نام لکھیں اور ان کی رکعتیں لکھ کر چارٹ تیار کریں۔
